Privacy Policy

FareRadar (“we”, “us”) operates fareradar.net. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do not collect, and the choices you have.

The short version

You do not need an account. We never ask you for your name, email address, phone number or payment details, and we have no way to sell information we do not hold. We do not book flights or take payments — when you follow a link to a booking site or airline, you leave FareRadar entirely.

Information stored in your browser

When you choose a departure city, we save it in your browser’s local storage, along with a note that you have been asked. This is what lets the site open on your city instead of asking again on every visit.

This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us, is not linked to any identity, and is not readable by other websites. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it, and the site continues to work without it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, which departure cities are popular, and whether people find what they came for. Google sets cookies and receives your IP address, from which it derives an approximate location. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with any other data.

Google processes this data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser or an extension. The site works normally either way.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request data — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type — for security and reliability. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to build any profile of you.

Links to other sites

FareRadar links out to booking sites, airlines and the deal sources we index. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Once you follow a link, that site’s own policy applies.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

• Clear your site data to remove your saved departure city.
• Block or clear cookies to stop analytics collection.
• Use the opt-out add-on above to disable Google Analytics everywhere.
• Contact us at privacy@fareradar.net with any question about this policy.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information a site holds about you. Because we hold no account data, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or erase — but write to us and we will explain what, if anything, applies.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date below always reflects the current version.
